The next generation in stent technology
STENTiT is developing a biodegradable stent that restores blood flow in severe peripheral artery disease and promotes regeneration of healthy vascular tissue. The stent is both regenerative and resorbable, meaning it restores the original tissue to a healthy state and then naturally dissolves within the body. While initially providing temporary artery support like a stent, it ultimately restores vascular health in that location, thereby preventing patient suffering and reducing healthcare costs.
Why we’re investing in STENTiT
Unlike current stents and variants in development for peripheral vascular disease, STENTiT’s product can be extended in length, allowing treatment of more patients and facilitating retreatment as needed. The team has already demonstrated promising preclinical results and possesses extensive knowledge of the target market and the technology.
